Following Wolverhampton Wanderers’ last gasp 2-1 victory away at Brentford in the Championship, it seems as if a corner has finally been turned for Paul Lambert’s side.
Wolves had been struggling in the Championship and are still in a relegation battle, yet a 1-0 win over Rotherham and the victory at Griffin Park has seen the club jump to 18th in the table, four points clear of the drop zone.
They say if you play well, eventually results will come, and that seems to have been the case for a Wolves side who have been desperately unlucky in recent weeks.
Wolves lost five Championship matches in a row – including all of February’s fixtures – to Burton Albion, Newcastle United, Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City and Reading, but incredibly, each defeat was by just the one goal.

In a relegation battle, it can never be certain that your luck will change, irrespective of how you approach a match, but it seems that Lambert’s side have found a solution.
It couldn’t have come at a better time either, as with just nine games of the season left to play, Wolves’ efforts finally seem to be paying off
