Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an approach to sign Aston Villa target Craig Dawson from David Moyes’s West Ham United in the final days of the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Sun have reported this afternoon that both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa have made approaches to West Ham over signing defender Dawson.

The defender is keen to play more regularly, according to the report.

Wolverhampton Wanderers or Aston Villa for Craig Dawson?

In our opinion, Wolverhampton Wanderers have a better chance of signing Craig Dawson from West Ham United than Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

Wolves are a big and ambitious club who will be looking to make a push for the Premier League top eight this season.

The Wanderers let Conor Coady leave for Everton earlier this summer, so Dawson could be his replacement.

Yes, Villa are also a big and established club in the Premier League, but Steven Gerrard’s side are not doing so well at the moment.

The Villans could struggle to end up in the top 10 this season.

Now, of course, the 32-year-old West Ham defender, who earns £52,000 per week as salary at the moment (SalarySport), would want to play on a regular basis, but it would be better off to be at a club who are ambitious and could achieve something special this season.
