Tottenham’s Heung Min Son in action with Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez
VfL Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed that whilst he would like to sign Heung-min Son, and is a big fan of the Tottenham Hotspur attacker, he does not think the club can afford the player.
A report from 90min, citing Wolfsberger Nachrichten, states that Allofs had this to say regarding the asking price for the South Korean international:
“I don’t think we can afford that.”

The report states that Wolfsburg are willing to pay €20 million (£17 million) for the player but not the €25 million (£21.3 million) that Tottenham want for any club to pluck Son away from White Hart Lane.
This news comes just after Schalke 04 confirmed they too were not interested in Son.
Son was a hit in the Bundesliga with Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen but has struggled for his best form at Spurs, which has seen him linked with Schalke and Wolfsburg this week.

Son had a difficult first season at Spurs, with injuries not aiding his Tottenham beginnings.
However, he showed enough promise to suggest he can cut it in the Premier League.
With some time and nurturing, he could prove to be a Spurs star.
