Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of Juventus.

Juventus goalkeeper and former Arsenal ace Wojciech Szczesny has told The Guardian that he enjoyed the win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
Spurs travelled to Turin for the first leg last month, and after being 2-0 down inside the first 10 minutes, Mauricio Pochettino’s men came back to draw 2-2, taking a draw and two away goals back to London.
With a home leg and those away goals in the bank, Spurs were hot favourites to beat Juve and pip them to a quarter-final place, especially when Son Heung-min scuffed Kieran Trippier’s cross into the net to put Tottenham 1-0 up on Wednesday night.

However, Tottenham fell apart in three second half minutes, as Gonzalo Higuain converted Sami Khedira’s flick-on to level the scores on the night, before Higuain set up Paulo Dybala to rattle home a second.
After Harry Kane saw his last-gasp header hit the inside of the post and bounce to safety, Tottenham were left to rue a missed opportunity, with Juventus heading into the last eight.
Tottenham are understandably hurting after such a disappointing evening at Wembley, but Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has somewhat twisted the knife.

Szczesny has often poked fun at Tottenham due to his ties with their rivals and his former club Arsenal, and he has done the same again after Wednesday’s clash.
Szczesny has told The Guardian that he enjoyed the game ‘a lot’, before mocking the fans who ‘went missing’ after 80 minutes of the game after initially being vocal.
“I enjoyed it a lot,” said Szczesny. “There were a couple [of Tottenham] fans – very vocal – next to my bench, who went missing after the 80th minute, so yeah, I enjoyed it. Plus winning at Wembley is always special,” he added.
