Last week it was reported by Turkish media that Tolgay Arslan could be offered to Sunderland. The Northern Echo went on to report that Sunderland would not be interested in a swap deal, which would see current Fenerbahce loanee Jeremain Lens head to Istanbul rivals Besiktas.
However, West Ham United might be taking interest in such talk.
Arslan was signed by West Ham’s current manager Slaven Bilic during his time at Besiktas. The German born star joined Besiktas in January 2015 and scored a wonderful goal against Liverpool in the Europa League.
Bilic was a big fan of the player, but after missing most of last season through injury he has been making most of his appearances this season from the bench.

It was even reported in the summer of 2015 that West Ham wanted Arslan before his injury trouble. Bild reported that West Ham were in the process of negotiating an €8 million (£5.8 million) move for the player when he got injured.
Now it seems as though he may be available again and West Ham boss Bilic will undoubtedly want to take notice of his former midfield maestro.
