Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on QPR’s Eberechi Eze.

Tottenham Hotspur’s well-documented inability to sign any new faces over the summer has resulted in ramped-up speculation about who they could sign in January.
Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell, Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong and even Manchester United defender Eric Bailly have been linked with the club in recent weeks, with boss Mauricio Pochettino no doubt keen on arrivals.
Now, the London Evening Standard report that Tottenham are interested in landing Queens Park Rangers playmaker Eberechi Eze, and were one of five clubs scouting him on Wednesday night.
It’s claimed that Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Manchester City all sent scouts to watch Eze in action for QPR against Millwall, as he scored the second goal in a 2-0 home win.
The 20-year-old playmaker dazzled yet again, and with Tottenham seemingly in a five-team battle for the youngster’s signature, this is one deal Spurs can’t afford to miss out on.
It’s hard enough for Spurs to compete with the Premier League elite for top signings given the difference in budgets, but Tottenham have to present themselves as the best option for Football League youngsters.

Working under a manager who believes in youth like Pochettino, Eze would only have to look at the development made by Dele Alli in his three years with Spurs, and see that they are the best place for his development; especially given the proximity to QPR.
Tottenham have had a tendency to wait too long on certain targets of late, particularly Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, but with other clubs already circling for Eze, Spurs need to get onto QPR director of football and ex-Spurs hero Les Ferdinand quickly to try and secure his signature before others do – just like they did with Alli.
