Michael Laudrup is in the running to land the Leeds job.
Michael Laudrup, former Swansea City Manager
A surprise name has entered the running for the Leeds United job, Michael Laudrup.
SkyBet make Laudrup third favourite at 9/1, behind heavily linked Aitor Karanka and Claudio Ranieri.
Laudrup is an intriguing name to consider, as he was Garry Monk’s predecessor at Swansea City, where he led the team to the 2013 EFL Cup.
As far as Leeds are concerned, appointing Laudrup might just be their best chance of re-signing Kyle Bartley.

The centre-back impressed on a season long loan last season, helping the team nearly clinch a play-off spot.
Swansea have suggested they intend to keep him, and Garry Monk’s resignation last week made the deal look dead in the water.
Laudrup was the manager who originally brought Bartley to Swansea City, and if any one can convince him to rejoin Leeds next season then he might just be the man.
In fact along with Monk’s former assistant Pep Clotet, Laudrup might just be one of two Leeds appointments who could swing a deal.

After signing for the Swans, Bartley told SkySports how he revered Laudrup as a ‘great manager’, and he went onto earn a contract extension just 12 months into his spell at the Liberty Stadium.
Laudrup also signed Pablo Hernandez, who earlier this month saw his Leeds deal extended by an extra year.
He is currently managing in Qatar with Al Rayyan, keeping a low profile since his Swansea exit in 2014.
