Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez seems set to complete a long-awaited move to Manchester City, and perhaps it is now time for Demarai Gray to shine.

The former PFA Player of the Season has been trying to engineer his exit from the King Power Stadium for the past couple of transfer windows, but a move now appears to be closer than ever.
Every Love Island contestant if they were an England international – World Cup!
The Algerian has undeniably been one of the Foxes’ greatest players in recent history, dazzling opposition defences with his quick feet and wand of a left foot.

He would be a great miss for the former Premier League champions and his departure would no doubt sting, but the 27-year-old’s departure could be the making of young Demarai Gray.
The exciting youngster has made a fair amount of appearances since joining in 2016 from Birmingham City, but the majority of them have been from the bench.
Last season he featured in 35 Premier League games but started just 17 of those, with Mahrez and Marc Albrighton the go-to wingers for Claude Puel and Gray often being introduced late on in games with little time to make an impact.

Mahrez’s proposed Etihad move could well be the catalyst for Gray to start reaching his high potential, with opportunities theoretically easier to come by with the Algerian no longer around.
Gray is fast and direct and often gives defenders the run around when he is on the pitch. Leicester will undoubtedly be rocked by the loss of their talisman if the move goes through as expected, but existing star Gray has all the tools to become their new one.
