West Brom are likely to be on the lookout for new attacking additions.
West Bromwich Albion could be about to lose two key attackers this summer following their relegation from the Premier League, and Darren Moore needs to be drawing up a shortlist of replacements.
The Telegraph have reported that target man Solomon Rondon has a relegation release clause of £16.5million, with West Ham United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all since being linked with the Venezuela international.
Moore needs a player that knows how to score goals in the Championship and it should see Moore draw up a list of strikers that impressed in England’s second tier last season.
Leeds United’s Kemar Roofe will surely being feeling pretty hard done by following an excellent campaign at Elland Road last year that saw the 25-year-old score 11 goals in 36 league games – completing 90 minutes only 10 times.
But Leeds are desperate to bring in a new centre-forward rather than give Roofe a chance, with the Yorkshire giants being linked to Uruguay international Abel Hernandez and Derby Country Matej Vydra.
Roofe is likely to be forced to feed off scraps under Marcelo Bielsa, with the wide positions taking up by Ezgjan Alioski, Pablo Hernandez and Samu Saiz. A move back to West Brom could prove tantalising.
The versatile forward left West Brom in the summer of 2015 to join Oxford United, and only a year later earned a £3million move to Leeds. 2017-18 was arguably his best season in professional football.
But after failing to make a single appearance for West Brom’s senior side – he scored 24 goals in 78 Under-23 appearances – Roofe may feel he has unfinished business at the Hawthorns and Moore should bring him back.
