The Chelsea ace would be a fine addition for Southampton.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl will surely be looking to bolster his right-back options at St Mary’s this month, with Sky Sports reporting that Cedric Soares is nearing an exit from the south coast club.
With this in mind, the Saints should consider making a loan move for Chelsea ace Davide Zappacosta, with the Italian facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.
According to a report from the Express, the 26-year-old will be allowed to leave the Blues on loan this month, and he would be the perfect addition for Southampton.
Zappacosta is an attacking full-back in every sense, and he would offer the Saints a real threat down the right hand flank.
Whilst the Italy international hasn’t exactly impressed during his time at Chelsea, he still has a lot to offer, and it could be argued that he has never really been given a fair crack at the whip during his time in south-west London.
He is also at an age where he should be approaching his peak physically, and he would surely be hungry and desperate to prove that he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

Zappacosta joining Southampton would be the ideal solution for all parties concerned.
Chelsea would get a player who is not receiving ample game-time off their books, whilst the Saints would be gaining an incredibly useful defender.
The player himself would also benefit, given the fat that he would be given regular first-team action at St Mary’s, and bearing all of these factors in mind, Hasenhüttl must explore the possibility of bringing the Italian to the south coast.
