Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reacted on Instagram to Arsenal’s decision to part ways with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

After spending time with Roma on-loan, Mkhitaryan has now made that move to Serie A permanent.

Aubameyang reacted to the news by SAYING: “Wish you the best mon frero,” added with a heart and praying emoji.

Ajax defender Daley Blind also sent a message to the player: “Congrats Micky.”. Whilst Bukayo Saka wrote: “All the best Micki.”

The 31-year-old playmaker moved to the Emirates Stadium in 2018 when he was involved in a now-infamous swap deal with Alexis Sanchez.

Despite making such high-profile moves at the time, both of their careers came crashing down in North London and Manchester, as they are now trying to eek out every bit of quality they have in their legs in Italy’s top-flight.

Whilst Sanchez is trying to prove his worth in Milan, Mkhitaryan is trying to work his magic in Rome.

Arsenal’s decision to bring Mkhitaryan to the Emirates Stadium in the first place will now go down as one of the worst transfer decisions in their history.

Whilst the Armenian is seemingly finding his feet once again in sunnier climates, this move will be a stain on a career that failed to explode on the Premier League stage.

Arsenal’s record transfer deals

  1. Nicolas Pepe

    £72 million

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    £56 million

  3. Alexandre Lacazette

    £52 million

  4. Thomas Partey

    45 million

  5. Mesut Ozil

    £42 million

Previously, Mkhitaryan was gracing the fields of Dortmund and Shakthar with great poise and elegance.

His ability to play in many attacking positions, use both feet and put opposition defenders on their backside with pure ease was standing out and it earned him a move to England.

But it just wasn’t meant to be in the fast-paced and more physically demanding climate of the Premier League.
