West Ham United drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
West Ham United defender Winston Reid has told the club’s official website of the group discussion they have had about their recent form.
The Hammers are currently sitting in the bottom three of the Premier League table as the season heads into the latest international break.
West Ham have managed just one win in seven games and extended their winless run to five games on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough.
It has seen the team coming in for serious criticism, especially the defence, which has conceded 17 goals so far, the most in the league.
And Reid admits that they are asking questions internally too, sharing what was said in a recent player meeting.
He told the club’s official website: “We had a meeting and everyone looked each other in the eye and said we have go to get ourselves out of this and it is not going to be easy, but we have to dig deep.
“You need occasions like that. We had new players come into the dressing room and we needed to have a chat.”
The defender is also confident that a much-needed victory will come following the international break.
The Hammers were vastly improved against Aitor Karanka’s side, especially considering they had conceded 11 goals in their previous three games.
In truth, they were somewhat unfortunate not to take all three points as Mark Noble hit the bar and Reid believes that bit of luck is just eluding them at present.
“We are not having that much luck at the moment. We are having chances the but the ball is not falling our way,” he added.
“It is something we are working hard for and as long as we keep working hard, I’m sure the victory will come.”
