Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been reacting after The Telegraph reported that Steven Gerrard is indeed interested in becoming the Villans’ new manager.
The Rangers boss has been linked with Villa all week long and now it seems as though a move to the Midlands is a distinct possibility for the Liverpool legend.
As you can imagine, Villa fans were excited by this rumour, and it’s not hard to understand why.
Gerrard has quickly established himself as one of the brightest young managers in the game at Rangers. He led the Glasgow outfit to an undefeated league campaign last term, while the Gers have consistently put in good performances in the Europa League under Gerrard.
Factor in that the former England captain is also one of the Premier League’s biggest legends and it’s fair to say that he’s a good fit for this role.
Whether or not Gerrard is appointed remains to be seen, but his arrival would certainly be welcomed by the Villa fans.
