Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Athletic revealed that Naby Keita was not badly injured in the 5-0 win on Sunday.
What’s the story?
Well, Jürgen Klopp probably feared the worst after seeing his £120,000-a-week man leave Old Trafford on a stretcher, after a challenge from Paul Pogba.
However, it seems Keita has escaped a serious injury.
The Athletic explain how the 26-year-old was able to join the celebrations after full-time at Old Trafford, and did not even leave Manchester on crutches.
That is incredible news, as the Liverpool No.8 has proven to be extremely fragile in England since his £52.75m move from RB Leipzig.
Keita has not twisted anything, and he may be fine to take on Brighton this Saturday – however, he should be rested, in our view.
Naby Keita news is big for Liverpool

If Keita has somehow developed some durability this season, then that is massive news for Klopp and Liverpool.
The 38-cap Guinea international has proven to be an effective player in the past, but sadly, he always seems to suffer an injury whenever he is just starting to pick up some momentum.
As a result, it’s been difficult for Klopp to count on Keita as a reliable first-team option.

However, if his body has now become more resilient, that is big news – a more involved Keita will feel like a new signing, if you’ll pardon the cliché.
For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about The Athletic‘s Keita update…
