Martin Keown has backed Arsenal to get the job done against Tottenham Hotspur on MOTD, in one of the biggest North London derbies to date. The two sides sit four points apart, with fourth place up for grabs on Thursday.

The two sides come into the hotly-anticipated game in good form, with Arsenal securing four straight wins – albeit, last time out, stuttering over the line against 10-man Leeds. Spurs were excellent at Liverpool, drawing 1-1.

Arsenal could be without Bukayo Saka and Ben White, with Mikel Arteta claiming they are both doubtful to feature against Spurs. Tottenham will be without Japhet Tanganga, Oliver Skipp, Matt Doherty and Sergio Reguilon.

Asked about Thursday night’s North London derby, Arsenal legend Keown said he is going to back the Gunners to win. He underlined the importance of the fixture by claiming “winner takes all”, at the Tottenham stadium.

“I’m going with Arsenal. It is the biggest game in living memory between these two teams. This time, it is double jeopardy, winner takes all.”

For Arsenal, they will have to focus on keeping both Son Heung-min and Harry Kane quiet. The duo have been in excellent form and the connection is as strong as ever. They thrive on pressure, so a plan is needed.

Eddie Nketiah will come up against a back three and Liverpool’s high press saw them give the ball away. The Gunners press will need to be intense, like it was against Leeds. Quietening the home crowd early doors is important.

Antonio Conte’s side arguably have the better players, and will need to take advantage of a defence that could be missing White, and definitely Kieran Tierney. It is a game that hangs in the balance, near impossible to predict.
