Sean Dyche’s Burnley are on course for the worst away record in Premier League history.

Burnley have been one of the Premier League’s surprise packages this season, amassing 30 points already despite the club’s relative lack of resources.
After holding Chelsea to a 1-1 draw in their last league match Martin Keown even went as far as to describe boss Sean Dyche as one of the two best managers in the league.
However one thing that makes their current position, ten points off the drop zone in a respectable 12th, even more remarkable is that they are there despite being on course to record the fewest points gained away from home in Premier League history.
On the road, Burnley are historically bad. They have only one away point from 11 games and even if they match that from the remaining eight they will set the record for the worst away form over a Premier League season.
That currently belongs to Derby County, who won only three points on their travels during an abysmal 2007/08 campaign.

The good news for Burnley is that five of their next seven away games are against teams in the bottom six as they travel to Hull, Swansea, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace.
That these fixtures have yet to take place goes some way to explaining why Dyche’s side’s away form has been so bad, and means Burnley have every chance of finishing the season strongly.
