
When Tottenham Hotspur loaned out Oliver Skipp last summer, this is the ideal scenario that they had in mind.
Spurs sent the 20-year-old to Norwich City on a season-long loan and now the Canaries are on the brink of Premier League promotion.
Not only that, but the Tottenham gem has started 39 of their 40 Championship games this season and he just seems to be getting progressively better.
City hammered Huddersfield Town 7-0 on Tuesday night and although Skipp wasn’t on the scoresheet, he did have perhaps the most eye-catching moment of anybody in the match.
On the hour mark, Skipp, who has 15 Premier League games for the North Londoners, collected possession deep in his own half before embarking on a marauding run which resulted in him being fouled in the opposition penalty box, with Teemu Pukki slotting home from 12 yards soon after.
This is a player whose confidence has gone from strength to strength under Daniel Farke and it’s fascinating to see what Daniel Levy’s plans are for him this summer.
