Winger reportedly keen on Anfield move, Liverpool hope to complete transfer tonight

Liverpool are interested in signing Diogo Jota from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to Goal.com.

It has been reported that the 23-year-old winger is keen on a move to the Premier League champions this summer.

The report has claimed that the Reds are confident that they will be able to secure the services of the Portugal international.

The Mirror has reported that Liverpool hope to complete a deal in excess of £35 million tonight.

Wolverhampton Wanderers spell

Jota joined Wolves on a season-long loan deal from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2017, and the move was made permanent in the summer of 2018.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old winger made 43 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Wolves during the 2017-18 season, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists in the process.

During the 2018-19 season, the winger scored nine goals and provided five assists in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.

Jota scored seven goals and provided one assist in the Premier League, and scored six goals in the Europa League for the Wanderers last season, according to WhoScored.
