Celtic’s performances in the Scottish Premier League has made them an irresistible force and not many will be backing for this period of dominance to end any time soon.
We take a look at five wing wizards who have worn the green and white over the past decade.
Scott Sinclair
Sinclair signed for Celtic in the summer on a four-year deal after a disastrous season with Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old’s career had been on an alarming downward spiral in England for a number of years and the former Manchester City made the decision to move up Scotland.
Sinclair has been their stand out performer during this season’s success and has scored 23 goals in his debut season as well as weighing in with 10 assists. He is a shoe-in for the player of the year award and Celtic fans will be hoping that his form carries over to next season.

James Forrest
Forrest is a product of the Celtic academy and has been with them ever since making his first team bow back in 2010.
Now 25-years-old, he has played over 200 games for the Glasgow club and is a full Scotland international. Whilst Sinclair has been making the headlines on the left side of midfield this season, Forrest has been putting in consistent performances on the opposite flank.
Forrest has made the position his own in the Celtic squad in recent years and has flourished under new boss Brendan Rodgers and he will be hoping for more of the same over the coming years.

Niall McGinn
McGinn’s time at Celtic was not the most successful and his inclusion may be viewed as a controversial one.
The Northern Ireland international arrived at Parkhead in 2009 after making a big impression in his native country for Derry City. He failed to make his mark at Celtic in his three years with the club, only managing to make 36 appearances and scoring six goals.
His career has improved significantly since leaving Celtic and has been a key figure for Aberdeen after signing for them following his release in 2012. After making over 200 appearances in five years, McGinn looks set for a move to England, leaving Celtic fans to ponder whether letting the 29-year-old slip through the net was a mistake.

Shaun Maloney
Maloney has enjoyed two spells at Celtic after joining the club as a trainee in 1999. In his first spell at the club, he made 139 appearances and scored 37 goals.
He made the move south of the border to Aston Villa in 2007 who were managed by former Celtic boss Martin O’Neill. He endured an injury-hit spell at Villa Park before returning back to Parkhead.
The Scotland international would rediscover his form during a three-year spell for the Hoops and made a further 77 appearances, scoring 15 goals before moving back to the Premier League with Wigan Athletic. He is currently still playing in England’s top tier with Hull City.

Aiden McGeady
McGeady is arguably Celtic’s most successful player of the past decade. After making his senior debut at the age of 18 in 2004, he went on to make 252 appearances for the club and he scored 37 goals.
The Republic of Ireland international won the club’s Young Player of the Year award three times and the Players’ Player of the Year award twice. He won the league three times for Celtic as well as the Scottish League Cup and Scottish Cup twice respectively.
He was sold to Spartak Moscow for big money in 2010, which made him Scottish football’s most expensive export at the time. He can now be found plying his trade in the English Championship with Preston North End where he is on loan from Everton.
