Jamie Carragher mocked Gary Neville for previously suggesting that Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, would help Manchester United win the Premier League title, as he told Sky Sports.
The former right-back was asked which one player he would sign for Manchester United, before Carragher interrupted and stated that ‘it has to be Harry Kane’ given his previous comments.
It seems as though, and it doesn’t look too great now, but Neville did back his former side to win the Premier League title if they signed Jadon Sancho, Raphaël Varane and Kane.
Well, Manchester United snapped up two of those players, with Kane staying put at Spurs this summer, after well-documented rumours about him possibly wanting to join Manchester City.
Either way, even if Kane had moved to Old Trafford, he still probably wouldn’t have been able to change or overturn the mess they now find themselves in.
Nonetheless, this is what Carragher had to say when Neville was asked who he would sign for Manchester United.
“Well, he said if they signed Harry Kane, Varane and Sancho that they would win the Premier League,” said Carragher.
“So, it has to be Harry Kane, hasn’t it?”
Gary Neville then joked: “I would sign Bernardo Silva.” after he left him out of his Team of the Season so far.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Kane and whether he signs a new contract or even leaves the north London club.
It would be quite a shock if any noises come out about him wanting to leave in January, but something might just give in the summer.
Either, he asks to leave or he ends all speculation and signs on the dotted line.
If he does, then it will make Antonio Conte’s life a lot easier because the Italian is starting to get the best out of the England captain after a very troublesome start to the season.
