Jack Wilshere’s former Arsenal teammate Emmanuel Frimpong has reacted to his move to West Ham.

Wilshere clinched his move to the Hammers yesterday as a free agent after his Arsenal contract expired.

Frimpong played with Wilshere in Arsenal’s academy and then the first team, before his departure.

Commenting on Twitter, Frimpong indicated he was impressed with West Ham’s transfer business.

On a free transfer, signing Wilshere could be a stroke of genius.

Wilshere has followed Toulouse defender Issa Diop to the Hammers, and Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks.

More deals are in the pipeline too, with Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko imminent, German outlet Sport1 report and negotiations are ongoing for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson.

Following the appointment of Premier League title winner Manuel Pellegrini, West Ham are so far showing some ambition.
