Will West Ham revise their offer for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere following the news Manuel Lanzini will miss the entire season through injury?

West Ham United have received a blow before the 2018/19 season has even started with the Mirror reporting Manuel Lanzini will miss the entire campaign due to injury.
Lanzini ruptured his cruciate ligaments while training with Argentina ahead of the 2018 World Cup and the problem is now worse than it was first thought.

In total the midfielder is set to miss 15 months of action, which means that the 25-year-old will play no part in the Hammers’ upcoming season.

Who can replace him?
West Ham had been favourites to sign Jack Wilshere from Arsenal after the England international made it publicly known he would be leaving the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires at the end of this month.

Yet a move for Wilshere was cast into doubt with the Sun claiming that the East London club were only prepared to offer the 26-year-old an initial one-year deal because of doubts over his fitness.
Yet with Lanzini absent for the foreseeable future, manager Manuel Pellegrini is looking for replacements and it is reported the Chilean could still make a move for the Gunners ace as a result – suggesting a potential rethink over what they will offer him.
