Joe Worrall and Connor Goldson of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are coming in for major criticism.
Willie Miller has slaughtered Rangers duo Connor Goldson and Joe Worrall over their defending this afternoon.
The Gers were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Dundee at Dens Park, with Rangers boasting a man advantage for some 71 minutes following Nathan Ralph’s red card, but Steven Gerrard’s side failed to capitalise.
The Glasgow outfit had to come from behind as Ibrox legend Kenny Miller opened the scoring against his old club.
Worrall failed to deal with a long ball and the evergreen marksman nipped in behind Goldson to fire the hosts ahead after just nine minutes.
And former Scotland international-turned-BBC pundit Miller has slated the Gers centre-halves.
He told BBC Sport: “It’s incredible. Miller certainly wasn’t favourite to get there.
“Goldson looked favourite all the way but he dwelled on it. It’s an easy finish for Miller in the end, but for me, the two centre-backs were just dreadful.”
It’s a damning assessment by Miller but one that Rangers fans – or indeed Gerrard – won’t disagree with.
Worrall has had a catalogue of mistakes since joining the Ibrox outfit on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest, but you expect more from Goldson who has arguably been the Gers’ best defender this season.
Gerrard’s side have a massive Europa League clash away to Rapid Wien on Thursday and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Gareth McAuley replaces Worrall for that one.
Rangers missed the chance to move level on points with Celtic at the summit as a result of the stalemate.
