Pedro Caixinha’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers lost against Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup.

Rangers faced Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The Gers headed into the tie as favourites, but Motherwell deservedly won the match 2-0 to progress to the final of the prestigious cup competition.
Louis Moult scored twice for Stephen Robinson’s side in a match in which Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha was sent off along with Robinson.
Former Scotland international central defender Miller has criticised Rangers boss Caixinha and has praised Motherwell striker Moult.

“Ryan Bowman should have been sent off for a second elbow but that was the moment Caixinha lost it completely,” Miller told BBC Sport (16:34). “As a manager, you have to stay in control and his performance was a disgrace.”
“Louis Moult was the shining light,” added Miller (16:29). “The rest was pretty ugly. When you have someone like Moult up front, you just keep playing away and he made the difference.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon, Rangers had 44% of the possession, took 14 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Motherwell will face Rangers’ Old Firm rivals, Celtic, in the final of the Scottish League Cup.
