Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Derby County are reportedly interested in Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Chelsea star Willian has told The Sun that his teammate and reported Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Derby County target Callum Hudson-Odoi has the potential to become one of the best players in the future.

Willian – who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and earns £120,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – rates his Chelsea teammate and 18-year-old forward Hudson-Odoi highly.

The Birmingham Mail claimed last month of interest from Championship trio Villa, West Brom and Derby in signing the 18-year-old forward on loan in the summer transfer window.

Willian told The Sun about Hudson-Odoi: “I’ve already told him that I will be his agent in the future.

“He has the potential. He has talent, he has everything to become in the future one of the best players. Now it’s early to say that. But maybe in five years we can see.”

Encouraging words

Hudson-Odoi has only just started to make the headlines with his performances for the Chelsea first team.

The 18-year-old forward has made only a handful of first-team appearances for the Blues, and it is too early to judge him in terms of him becoming one of the best players in the world in the future.

However, it is clear that the England Under-19 international is a hugely talented player, and Villa, West Brom and Derby would benefit from having him in their squad for the second half of the season.
