Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Real Sociedad ace.

Marco Silva, Manager of Watford looks on prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on November 5, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Marco Silva has a lot of work to do at Everton this summer, if he is to guide his side back into contention for the European places next season.

One particular area of concern for the Portuguese will be his forward department, and the addition of an established striker will be of paramount importance to his side’s hopes of enjoying a successful Premier League campaign.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, one player who is attracting attention from the Toffees is Real Sociedad ace Willian Jose, and what a superb signing he could be for them.

The 26-year-old was in fine form for Sociedad this season, chalking up 20 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions, and his impressive movement, combined with his clinical finishing would certainly help add a level of potency to Everton’s attacking play.

The Merseyside outfit struggled in front of goal in the league last term, scoring just 44 goals, and if they are to make genuine strides under Marco Silva, that will be one area where they absolutely must improve upon.

With Wayne Rooney’s future at Goodison Park uncertain to say the least and the jury still out on Cenk Tosun, the arrival of Willian Jose would be much needed.

Mundo Deportivo claim that the Blues are prepared to meet the Brazilian’s £52.7 million release clause, and whilst that seems like a lot of money on the face of it, it could turn out to be an excellent piece of business by Everton.
