Willian? De Bruyne? Are Chelsea poised to make deadline day moves?

So far despite plenty of speculation it has been a quiet transfer window at Stamford Bridge. Could that change?

Last January Chelsea spent more than £75 million on two players, Fernando Torres and David Luiz.

This month they have been a lot more frugal, laying out just £7 million on defender Gary Cahill.

There have been all sorts of rumours about Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Frank Lampard and even Torres himself leaving Chelsea, but as predicted the only big exit has been Alex in central defence.

With 48 hours to go now is the time for the club to turn the screw on their potential transfer targets.

They have been heavily linked with Brazilian attacker Willian, with his current club Shakhtar Donetsk confirming they had rejected a bid.

The club don’t look like giving up on this transfer, and despite Villas-Boas protestations that he won’t make a move this month, don’t rule it out, after all we know its Roman Abramovich who pulls the strings.

Chelsea’s other big target is Genk winger Kevin De Bruyne.

We predict this one will go through in the next 48 hours.

The only questionable element is whether the Belgian will arrive now, or if Chelsea will loan him back to Genk for the remainder of the season.

The winger has already publicly declared he wants a move to Chelsea and is desperate to come to London, even if like Willian he would be ineligible for the club’s Champions League campaign.

At Chelsea he would team up with compatriot Romelu Lukaku and the two could play a huge part in Chelsea’s future over the next five to ten years.

There may be other deals in the pipeline, today’s papers claim the club have bid £1 million for Nottingham Forest teenage striker Sam Bamford, and the club have been linked with a swoop for Demba Ba.

– How do you think Chelsea’s business will play out- are there any targets we have missed?
