Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are willing to sell Willian amid interest from AC Milan, according to The Mirror (print edition, page 66, August 29, 2021).
What’s the story?
The Mirror (print edition, page 66, August 29, 2021) are reporting that Milan have jumped ahead of Corinthians in the race for Arsenal winger Willian.
The Italian giants are willing to offer £7 million plus extras for the Brazil international, who can also play as an attacking midfielder and joined Arsenal last summer on a free transfer after leaving Chelsea.
Milan hope to wrap up the deal tomorrow.
The Gunners are willing to sell the 33-year-old, but the North London club want £9 million for the attacker.
Sky Sports reported last night that Willian will leave Arsenal on a free and join Corinthians.

Leaving Arsenal for AC Milan?
Milan are a massive club who finished in the Serie A top four last season and will play in the Champions League this campaign.
The Rossoneri have some wonderful players, such as Olivier Giroud, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Theo Hernandez.

Milan will challenge for the top four this season and perhaps even for the Scudetto, and Willian – described by Arsenal’s Technical Director Edu as a player who has “a lot of fantastic attributes” on the club’s official website in August 2020 – would relish that challenge.
If Arsenal want to sell the winger and Milan are keen, then it would be best for all three parties if they come to an agreement.
