West Bromwich Albion were linked with a move for Blackburn Rovers captain Jason Lowe previously.

Four months after he was linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion, among others [Daily Mail], Blackburn Rovers have confirmed the release of long-serving captain Jason Lowe.
So could the Baggies revive their interest this summer?
Do West Brom still need him?
The Baggies brought in Hull’s Jake Livermore shortly after the Lowe links surfaced, although recent reports crediting them with an interest in Joe Ledley [Crystal Palace] and Stuart Armstrong [Celtic] suggest there’s still a hole to fill in central midfield. It perhaps wouldn’t hurt to have another utility player on board, in case Marc Wilson returns to Bournemouth.

Is he good enough for the Premier League?
Lowe appeared 32 times in the top flight before Blackburn’s relegation, and the chances are he’d have already returned had it not been for a long-term foot injury. While might have been released by Rovers – having made 140 Championship appearances across five seasons – it’s unlikely to have happened if the Lancastrians hadn’t gone down.

Are there any obstacles?
Hull and Brighton were also said to be keen, although the former has since returned to the Championship, while Brighton is an awful long way from Blackburn. West Brom could therefore have the upper hand if they’re still keen.
Should West Brom move for Lowe after Blackburn released him?
