Mousa Dembele has just nine months remaining on his current contract with Tottenham, and the Belgian could walk away from the club for nothing next summer.

Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato claimed this morning that the 31-year-old has offered his services to Juventus already, having been denied a move away from Spurs during the summer transfer window.

Calcio Mercato claims that Tottenham were demanding €30 million (£26.8 million) for Dembele in the summer – a price that Juve, Napoli and Inter were reluctant to pay.

So will Spurs now regret now lowering their demands for the midfielder?

If Dembele fails to agree terms on a new deal with the Lilywhites, and leaves for nothing next summer, the simple answer to that is yes.
