Benfica are reported to be considering the sale of midfield pair Lubomir Fejsa and Andreas Samaris to the Premier League this summer.

The 28-year-old Serb, who is out of contract next summer, is a target for Tottenham Hotspur with Mauricio Pochettino keen to make him their first signing of this transfer window.
Having won nine straight league titles with Partizan Belgrade, Olympiakos and Benfica, you could see why the ‘nearly men’ would see Fejsa as an astute addition.
However, if Tottenham manage to get the deal over the line for a player who averages more than three successful tackles per game, this could have major repercussions for Newcastle United.
After all, Benfica won’t want to lose both of their defensive midfielders in the same summer, meaning Andreas Samaris, who lost his place to Fejsa in the starting XI last season, may face an uncertain future if his team-mate makes the move to north London.
