Tottenham Hotspur sold DeAndre Yedlin to Newcastle United last summer, but he could have been ideal for them now.
Tottenham Hotspur may be regretting letting DeAndre Yedlin leave last summer, as he could have been the perfect option for Mauricio Pochettino currently.
Spurs sold Yedlin to Newcastle United last year, after it was decided that he had no clear pathway into the first-team.

However, after the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City and an injury to Kieran Trippier, Spurs are now seriously short of options at right-back.
And Yedlin may have been the ideal covering option to fill in at wing-back, in Trippier’s absence.
Yedlin may lack some defensive qualities, but his pace makes him a huge attacking threat, and he could have slotted in excellently in to Tottenham’s system.
In what seems to be a cruel twist of fate, Tottenham may just have to watch what might have been, as their opening game of the new campaign comes against Yedlin’s new side, Newcastle.
Yedlin is likely to start for Rafael Benitez’s men, as they look to re-acclimatise to Premier League life.
And if Yedlin does play to his potential, it may suggest that Pochettino made a big mistake letting the American go on a permanent transfer last year.
