The Forest winger made a late-window switch to Ashton Gate.

Nottingham Forest had a particularly busy summer, signing 12 new players in total and allowing 13 to leave, either permanently or on loan.
It hasn’t stopped there, either, with Nicklas Bentdner arriving on a free transfer this week.
The Reds’ most notable transaction saw teenage prodigy – and early season top scorer – Oliver Burke sold to ambitious Bundesliga newcomers RB Leipzig.

But is that the one they will most live to regret? With £13 million heading for the club coffers, perhaps not.
The money has since funded deals for Nicolao Dumitru, Lica and Mustapha Carayol, and enables Forest to afford Bendtner’s wages for the next two campaigns.

There is, though, another exit which is difficult to get your head around. Why on Earth did they also sell Jamie Paterson?
Now, both Lica and Carayol may turn out as inspired signings, but with one of them an English league virgin and the other bounced from club to club over the past 18 months, they also may not.
Paterson, on the other hand, seemed a fairly safe bet – at least Bristol City thought so. And with the sale of Burke coming little over 24 hours later, it’s not like Forest needed the money. So, again – why did they sell him?

Though exiled from the City Ground last season, the 24-year-old could have thrived in Burke’s absence and will perhaps do so at Bristol City – a club that, based on their form this calendar year, should be considered a rival by Forest.
A bad call? Only time will tell.
