Leeds United have brought in one goalkeeper and could wave goodbye to another as a consequence.

New Leeds United manager Garry Monk has had a busy few days, recently adding Hadi Sacko, Matt Grimes and Rob Green to his squad.
But when it comes to the latter, could his arrival spark the exit of a player who featured 48 times for the Whites last season?

A recent report from the Daily Mail claimed Marco Silvestri could leave Elland Road this summer and Green’s arrival will do nothing to lessen that speculation.
At 36, the former West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers stopper will not have joined Leeds if he thought he would sit on the bench all season, and in an interview with the BBC he said, “I’ve spoken to the manager and I know what he’s got in store and what he’s planning.”

While we can only speculate at this stage, Monk is likely to have given Green some assurances prior to his move and with Bailey-Peacock Farrell a more than able deputy and Ross Turnbull still on the club’s books it would be no surprise to see Silvestri move on.
Monk has moved quickly to strengthen his squad and when he is done perhaps we will see some more departures, with Silvestri likely to have plenty of interest from his homeland if he is made available for transfer in due course.
