Have Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers missed the boat on Jordan Jones?

Rangers raised eyebrows in January by only offering £350,000 for Jordan Jones.

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke slammed the Ibrox club for such a low offer and there is every chance that Rangers will come to regret it this summer.

Jones posted an outstanding performance in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over St Johnstone and if he maintains a similar level from now until the end of the season he will undoubtedly attract interest.

But will Gers boss Graeme Murty be able to get him?

The Daily Mail reported in January that Bristol City down South are also keen on the 23-year-old winger and although Ibrox is appealing, Jones might well prefer a move to the Championship if both options are on the table.

And if the Robins are still interested come this summer, there is every chance that other Championship clubs will take an interest and it could get a lot more difficult for Murty to get his man.

If that happens, you wonder whether the Glasgow giants missed out on a player who is only going to get better and better by tabling such a low offer in January and upsetting Killie.
