Could a report about Ander Herrera be damaging to Everton?

One report from ESPN about Ander Herrera might interest Everton.
According to ESPN, the Spanish midfielder is set to stay at Manchester United this summer, amid speculation about a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The big-spending French giants need a long-term replacement for Adrien Rabiot and Herrera had been touted for a move to Parc de Princes.
But if that report is true, the 29-year-old is going nowhere and this could potentially impact Everton.
That is because another player linked with PSG is Toffees midfielder Idrissa Gueye and if the Ligue 1 outfit can’t sign Herrera then it seems plausible to wonder if they could renew an interest in the Senegal international.
According to Sky Sports, Gueye asked Everton for permission to join Thomas Tuchel’s side during the January transfer window, only to be rejected.
His heart might be elsewhere and now that Herrera is off the table, we’ll see if Gueye is an option again.
