Will Patrick Vieira step up his efforts to sign the Celtic man, amid further doubts about one of his own midfielders?

Ask a Celtic fan what they think of Eboue Kouassi and many might struggle to offer a valid response.
This is because fans of the Parkhead side have not seen a great deal of the 20-year-old – who has only started eight games for Celtic in all competitions – since his £3 million move from Krasnodar some 18 months ago.
Indeed, Hoops supporters certainly haven’t seen the best of him, but will they ever?
Foot Mercato reported last month that Nice were one of several Ligue 1 sides tracking the out-of-favour midfielder, and it just so happens that the French side might need someone of Kouassi’s ilk soon.
According to Sky Sports, linked-away Jean-Michel Seri has not travelled on Nice’s pre-season training camp, so coach Patrick Vieira might need a replacement for the 26-year-old in the very near future.
The Celtic man is a similar mould to Seri and therefore you wonder whether Vieira could step up his reported interest in Kouassi, if and when his compatriot leaves France.
Rodgers once touted Kouassi as the man to replace Scott Brown in Glasgow [The Scottish Sun], but it looks more and more likely that the Northern Irishman was wrong about that one.
