Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, with the latest being Paris Saint-Germain.

Whilst Newcastle United will be eager to add more quality to their squad before deadline day, they also have to make sure some of their key players stay at the club.

Kicker recently claimed that French champions Paris Saint-Germain have joined a number of clubs and expressed their interest in Newcastle’s man between the sticks Martin Dubravka.

Already this summer, PSG have parted ways with Gianluigi Buffon, and it seems as though they will move for Dubravka if they sell Kevin Trapp this summer.

That could prove to be key for Dubravka if he sits down to decide what to do with his future because it would increase his chances of earning regular game time at the Ligue 1 club, which is crucial.

If regular game time is on offer at PSG then surely the 30-year-old will find it too hard to turn down an offer from the Champions League club.

Dubravka has been a key player for Newcastle and if they are to survive in the Premier League ahead of the new campaign then they must keep him.

But things aren’t exactly rosy at St James’ Park and if a team competing in Europe, who are almost certainties to win more trophies next term, come knocking for you then it wouldn’t be a surprise if a player like Dubravka accepts.

There is one week left until the deadline and Newcastle will be hoping it comes as quickly as possible because the last thing the supporters will want is to lose another key player.
