Harrison, 21, will surely shine in the Championship after scoring 14 goals and adding 10 assists in 55 MLS appearances. He came through the ranks at Liverpool and Manchester United before moving across the pond.
His eye for goal, ability to split a defence in half with a natural vision, pocket-full of tricks and a willingness to run at defences is just the kind of winger Newcastle are crying out for. Harrison would have been perfect.
At £6million, he was arguably on the cheap side for Newcastle who made a £15million offer for Nicolai Jorgensen during the window. Surely, the Toon will regret failing to land the England Under-21 international’s signature.
