Liverpool have recently been linked with a move for Real Madrid attacking midfielder, Isco – reportedly, a long time Tottenham target.

Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a fantastic season this year, and are still hot on the heels of London rivals Chelsea in the hunt for their first Premier League trophy. Transformed under Mauricio Pochettino, and equipped with one of the most exciting young squads in the league, Tottenham Hotspur are the team to watch at the moment.
And it’s difficult to see how the team could be improved, with strong players filling virtually every position. However, at the end of last year Tottenham Hotspur fans made it clear via Talksport which player they would like to see arrive at White Hart Lane: Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
And with the summer transfer window not far away, Tottenham Hotspur fans may well be hoping that this transfer window will see their club break the bank for the talented Spanish midfielder. However, they could be about to be disappointed, with Liverpool reportedly keen to challenge for Isco, according to a report in Spanish media outlet, Don Balon.
The report suggests that Liverpool are resigned to losing star midfielder Phillipe Coutinho this summer, and have identified Real Madrid midfielder Isco as the man to replace him. The Spaniard has scored 32 goals in 185 appearances so far the the Galacticos, but looks to be largely out of favour under Zinedine Zidane’s tenure.
Isco – Real Madrid
So will it be the Reds who scupper Tottenham Hotspur fans dream signing? At the moment, it would come as somewhat of a surprise to see the Spanish midfielder pick Anfield over White Hart Lane. Spurs have been arguably the most exciting team in the Premier League this season, and are currently enjoying more on-field success than Liverpool.
However, the history factor may well come into play this summer, and with the draw of the five-time Champions League winning club still high, Real Madrid star Isco could well be set to follow in a number of La Liga players’ footsteps and swap sunny Spain for Liverpool. Totteham Hotspur fans might be left hoping their owners are ready to open their wallets this summer.
