Leeds and Rangers are both linked with Brentford midfielder.

Leeds United and Rangers have both been linked with moves for Brentford midfielder Lewis Macleod, The Scottish Sun reported last week.
Macleod is an interesting case as his contract expires at the end of this season, and West London Sport report he turned down their most recent offer of a renewal.
Both Leeds and Rangers are tempting. The Whites look a good bet for promotion, while the Scottish side are Macleod’s boyhood club.
Yet by letting his current deal run down, Macleod is playing a dangerous game, especially with his own history of injuries.
He needs to only look at Brentford teammate Alan Judge for evidence of this.

It was in 2016 that Judge was letting his deal at Griffin Park run down and was on the brink of signing with a Premier League club, when he broke his leg.
Judge told The Times: “As the season progressed and I was scoring more goals a Premier League side contacted me and my agent and we agreed a deal, which the club here knew about. It wasn’t behind their back. That was two or three days before I broke my leg.”
It was a worst case scenario for the midfielder. Judge faced an uncertain future and was eventually offered an extension by Brentford out of good faith. It took him 18 months to make his comeback.
Macleod is dicing with his future by letting his contract run down, and Judge’s experience may convince him to renew.
If he did choose to do so, and snub the chance to rejoin Rangers or move to Leeds, you could not blame him for putting the security of his career first.
