Leeds United were linked with a move for Ollie Watkins, but he went to Brentford instead.

Leeds United may be regret missing out on Ollie Watkins earlier this summer, now that Chris Wood has left.
There were some questions over whether Watkins would have the capabilities to perform at Championship level, but the initial signs have been very positive.
Watkins has featured regularly for Brentford, and looks a major threat, even in the second tier.

With Watkins still having years ahead of him to improve, the future looks very bright for the youngster.
And Leeds may just be regretting not pushing harder to bring Watkins in, while they had the chance.
Leeds need to find a way to replace the 30 goals which Wood scored for them last term, and doing so could be a tough task.

Watkins would not have been a direct replacement for the New Zealand international, but he could have seriously helped to soften the blow of his departure.
And if Watkins keeps impressing for Brentford, Leeds are likely to be left to look back with some regret at missing out on capturing the talented youngster.
