The Leeds United midfielder has barely featured since arriving at Elland Road.

When Leeds United signed Mateusz Klich from FC Twente lats summer, it looked like a fine piece of business for a club in need of quality reinforcements in midfield. But so far the 27-year-old has barely got a look-in and one wonders where his next chance will come from.
Even after Ronaldo Vieira’s red card against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this week, it would be surprising if Klich is selected ahead of Eunan O’Kane to play alongside Kalvin Phillips, and the Polish international may have to wait until early 2018 to get a better idea of what his future holds.

After all, the Christmas and New Year fixtures will mean Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen has to utilise his entire squad effectively, and that could be the first time Klich really gets a chance to show what he can do in the Championship.;
This is after all a player who has coped well in the Eredivisie and the Bundesliga, so to write him off so soon seems foolish in the extreme; especially when he played his part in Leeds’ impressive EFL Cup campaign prior to their elimination against Leicester City.

If Klich is still on the side-lines in January, with no more chances to prove what he can do, he may have to accept that he needs to move on for the good of his career.
In contrast, some impressive showings over Christmas and he could belatedly prove he can be an important player for Leeds just when they need him the most.
