Premier League landmark set to be reached this weekend and a Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool star looks most likely to get it.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane wins the 2015/16 Barclays Golden Boot Award, scoring 25 goals. Can Tottenham’s Harry Kane add another goalscoring honour to his collection?

Just who will score the Premier League’s 25,000th goal is the big question this weekend.

In the Prem’s 25th season we are just 25 goals away from the 25,000th goal which could and realistically should be this weekend.

The Premier League produces an average of 2.8 goals per game or 28 per week but the average in recent weeks is actually nearer 23.

The highest ever in a single week was set last season with 43 and last week’s round 10 matches lived up to the average with 28 goals.

If this weekend’s fixtures are true to form then the 25,000th goal is most likely to come in one of the Sunday games.

Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez celebrates scoring their first goalArsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is in hot form

Arsenal and Spurs go head-to-head in the North London derby in the lunchtime kick-off on Sunday – a fitting stage for such a milestone.

Could Harry Kane return with a bang after injury to net it or will it be one of the Gunners heroes Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil.

Perhaps the honour will go to a more unlikely name such as Vincent Janssen.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino celebrates scoring their fourth goal with Philippe Coutinho and Sadio ManeLiverpool’s deadly trio Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane

Liverpool vs Watford is next up at 2.15pm where the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo will all fancy their chances at a fitting venue, Anfield.

Hull vs Southampton at the same time gives a more obscure player the chance to get their name in the history books.

Manchester United's Zlatan IbrahimovicCan Zlatan end his barren run

Manchester United kick off at 3pm away at Swansea where Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be desperate to end his barren Premier League run in style, or maybe Wayne Rooney can ease the pressure to beat Bobby Charlton’s goalscoring record with a historic goal after his strike in midweek.

Leicester City could get their names in the record books yet again when they take on West Bromwich Albion in the last game of the weekend.

Could Jamie Vardy set another Premier League record after surpassing Ruud van Nistelrooy’s goalscoring feats on the way to helping the Foxes to a shock title win last term.
