The Tottenham Hotspur winger has desperately struggled to establish himself in north London.

Hugo Lloris of Spurs looks on during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton at Wembley Stadium on December 26, 2017 in London, England.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris spoke to reporters after his side’s hard-fought win over Fulham on Sunday, and took time to praise his teammate Georges-Kévin N’Koudou, suggesting that the winger’s display typified the mentality of the team as a whole, as quoted by the club’s official website.

Harry Winks scored an injury time winner for Spurs against Fulham, and the three points were so vital to their hopes of finishing inside the top four, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all in hot pursuit.

Tottenham perhaps would not have won that game last year, and they showed on Sunday that even without some of their key men, they can still get the job done.

And N’Koudou might just have an important role to play for Spurs over the next few weeks, with Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko out injured and Heung-Min Son away on international duty.

Lloris spoke highly of the 23-year-old when speaking to reporters after the Fulham game, praising the winger’s mentality, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“The belief helped us to get the three points. It was not easy. We did it as a team and the best example is the assist of GK Nkoudou for the second goal. He showed the mentality of the squad, everyone is ready to help the team and it’s a big win, especially after the defeat against Manchester United that we didn’t deserve.”

N’Koudou has a fantastic opportunity over the next few weeks to prove to Pochetitno that he is worthy of a place in the first-team.

The Tottenham boss might, of course, decide to sell the Frenchman, but Sunday’s performance would have at least made him think twice about doing just that.
