If West Ham United hire Manuel Pellegrini will the former Manchester City manager look to reunite with Samir Nasri?
Pellegrini will fly into London to put pen to paper a three-year deal with the Hammers after telling current club Hebei China Fortune that he is leaving to return to England.
The 64-year-old, who won the Premier League title with Manchester City in 2013/14, will take charge at West Ham following the departure of David Moyes.
Who could join him?
The same report has already linked the East Londoners with Yaya Toure, who is leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer and worked for three years under Pellegrini at City.
However, is it more likely that the Chilean will reunite with Samir Nasri – who also played for the Citizens when he was in charge – at the London Stadium after being linked with a switch there in January by the Daily Mail?
At the time Nasri was with Turkish side Antalyaspor and had failed to settle in the country, before being released at the end of the month and then receiving a six-month ban from Uefa for an anti-doping violation dating back to 2016.
That ban expires on August 8, meaning that if signed the 30-year-old would be available to play for Pellegrini at the start of the 2018/19 season.
