The 26-year-old Brazil international midfielder joined Liverpool on loan from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Sky Sports have reported that the Reds have the option to make the loan deal permanent for £32 million.

Staying positive
In our opinion, Liverpool fans should stay positive about Arthur Melo being a potential success at the Reds.
Yes, the Premier League is a very intense domestic league, and Liverpool play a high-pressing football.
But, we must not forget that Arthur has played for massive clubs such as Barcelona and Juventus.
And the Liverpool recruitment team would have done their homework on the 26-year-old Brazil international midfielder.
Now, it could take a while for the Brazilian to get used to Liverpool’s football and adjusting to the Premier League, but we should stay optimistic about his chances of being successful in England.
