Spurs striker Harry Kane sat down for an exclusive interview with popular football magazine FourFourTwo, and admitted that his biggest fear in the game is ending his career having not achieved what he wants to.

At 23, the England international striker still has plenty more years before he reaches his peak, and he will hope to win things with Tottenham, although with the fierce levels of competition, that will by no means be a foregone conclusion.

And Kane’s latest comments could be a real concern for Spurs fans.

He told FourFourTwo:

“My biggest fear is not achieving what I want in my career. I just want to win as many trophies as I can and at the end of my career hopefully I can look back and be happy with what I’ve achieved.”

The problem for the Lilywhites will be that if they fail to achieve either domestic or continental success over the next couple of years, will Kane be tempted to move to one of the Manchester giants? Real Madrid or Barcelona? Or even Bayern Munich?

Because make no mistake about it, he is on track to become one of the world’s best strikers.

And Tottenham will have to give him a reason to hang around, whether that be by winning things immediately, or by proving their ambition by signing star names this summer.

And with 10 points separating themselves and league leaders Chelsea, Kane might just have to wait another year longer at the very least before he can achieve his dream at Spurs.
