Attacker Grady Diangana is one of the best upcoming talents rising through the ranks at West Ham.

Grady Diangana starred on his West Ham first-team debut in midweek in the Carabao Cup and manager Manuel Pellegrini may just have opened the door for him to feature in the Premier League for the first time.

The 20-year-old attacker scored twice on Wednesday night, as the Hammers annihilated League Two outfit Macclesfield Town 8-0 at the London Stadium.

The right-winger made the most of his first opportunity at senior level by dazzling during the 90 minutes and is one of several bright prospects currently in the academy.

But first-team boss Pellegrini has not closed the door on him featuring at the weekend in the league at home to Man United.

His sole senior appearance to date came in the league, but he was an unused substitute in a couple of Premier League games last season.

“I don’t think Grady’s age is a problem. Players must take their chances. I try to analyse the performances, so I will see if he will be included tomorrow,” Pellegrini said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

West Ham have proven over the years that they are not afraid to promote their youth and current midfield star Declan Rice is a shining example.

Diangana, 20, is approaching the age now where he needs to make the jump up to senior level, whether that be at West Ham or elsewhere on loan.

He is a skilful wide man with great potential and it would be a major confidence boost for him if the manager included him in the squad at the weekend.
