The Belgian is reportedly seeking a loan exit from Chelsea – after joining them over Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Vincent Janssen has played 524 minutes more in the Premier League this season than Michy Batshuayi. And while neither the Dutchman nor the Belgian are first choice for Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea respectively, they have found starts hard to come by for varying reasons – despite the fact Tottenham spent the summer chasing the strike duo, The Daily Mirror reported.
For Janssen, his concerning sluggish adaptation to English football, coupled with a complete lack of goals from open play, has encouraged Mauricio Pochettino to drop him from his matchday squad altogether on occasion in recent weeks.
Batshuayi meanwhile, has been a victim of Diego Costa’s success. While he is yet to start a game all season in the league, the Spaniard has scored for fun and spearheaded their sprint to the top of the table.
Therefore, you wonder how different the former Marseille striker’s fortunes could have been if he had made the move to White Hart Lane rather than Stamford Bridge in the summer. The Daily Mirror reported in June that Batshuayi was keen on signing for Tottenham, only for the club to refuse his £100,000-a-week wage demands.

And, in hindsight, perhaps he should have backed down. Tottenham have played far more games than Chelsea this season due to their European exploits, meaning Batshuayi would surely have been granted opportunities on a regular basis rather than the odd EFL Cup runout.
Furthermore, he appears an excellent fit for Pochettino’s gameplan; quick, agile and versatile enough to drift into different positions. In short, everything Jansson isn’t.

The Standard reports that Batshuayi has now gone as far as to request a loan move away from Stamford Bridge with West Ham potentially interested.
However, he could have saved himself the trouble by choosing North London over the South West.
